Dawn Chorus Walk - Riverside & Reeds (fully booked)

When: Saturday 22nd May

Time: 0530 (am!)

Walk duration: approx 2 hours

Where: South Stoke slipway

Who: the walk will be led by Simon Booker and local birding expert Paul

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EVENT IS UNSUITABLE FOR TODDLERS AND DOGS

Starting from the South Stoke slipway, we'll head off along the riverbank, under the Four Bridges to Little Stoke slipway.  We'll return back to our starting point via Little Stoke Manor and the Bogey Hole.

The walk will take approximately two hours.

It's likely to be chilly and damp so please wear appropriate footwear, make sure you're warm enough and dress in sombre colours.  If you've got binoculars, please bring them.

All ages and levels of knowledge are welcome, but good (and quiet!) behaviour from small ones will be appreciated.  We don't want to scare the birds away!

Attendees will learn how to see, photograph and spot birds.  They'll also be able to tap into Paul's encyclopedic knowledge of birdlife and Simon's experience of local area wildlife and photography skills at all levels.

We'll take the walk quite gently so there will be plenty of opportunity to take photos, ask questions and discuss what we see.

NO DOGS PLEASE.
